Montevideo, Feb 9 (Prensa Latina) Uruguay's trade union PIT-CNT has reportedly collected some 153,000 signatures to set up a referendum on the pension reform promoted by the Government and has had the parliamentary vote.

Madrid, Mar 29 (Prensa Latina) Spain's Workers' Commissions (CCOO) on Wednesday joined the defense of Cuba and rejected its "unjustified inclusion in the unilateral list of countries supporting terrorism. In a public statement, the CCOO, Spain's second-largest trade-union federation after UGT, emphasized its support for the decision taken at the 28th Ibero-American Summit held in Santo Domingo, which rejected the measure promoted by the United States.
