Quito, Nov 17 (Prensa Latina) In the heart of Ecuador, the city of Riobamba shines with the imposing title of Sultana of the Andes, a nickname well deserved as it is located at the foot of the Chimborazo volcano, the closest point to the Sun from “the middle” of the Earth. This geographical feature gives it an impressive appearance that is liked by both residents and tourists, since the colossus can be seen from almost any corner of the city, inhabited by 177 thousand people.
