Hurricane Ian

Havana, Sep 29 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel today praised the support of the military in cleanup efforts of Havana after the impact of hurricane Ian's winds last Tuesday. 
Caracas, Sep 28 (Prensa Latina) The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) Executive Secretary Sacha Llorenti on Wednesday expressed his strong solidarity to the Cuban people and government after the passage of Hurricane Ian.
Artemisa, Cuba, Sep 28 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Wednesday visited ravaged areas in the province of Artemisa (west), one of the most hit by the passage of Hurricane Ian. The Cuban leader arrived at the farm of farmer Daniel Evelio González, with whom he talked about the hurricane´s impact on his three banana plantations, according to the presidential Twitter account.
Havana, Sep 28 (Prensa Latina) President Miguel Diaz-Canel assured today Cuba will move forward with the support of all, while he was heading a meeting to look into the damage and recovery actions after hurricane Ian pounded four western provinces and the Isle of Youth.
Havana, Sep 27 (Prensa Latina) Antonio Rodríguez, president of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INRH), assured that the entity is keeping a close watch on the dams in western Cuba, given the passage of Hurricane Ian through this region.
Havana, Sep 26 (Prensa Latina) Strong wind gusts of up to 66 km/h are already hammering southwestern Cuba, as a result of the closeness of Category 2 Hurricane Ian, according to the Institute of Meteorology (ISMET).
