UNESCO names 18 global geoparks, two in Brazil

Paris, May 24 (Prensa Latina) UNESCO's Executive Council on Wednesday agreed, after concluding its 216th session, to name 18 new global geoparks, including the Caçapava and Quarta Colônia geoparks in Brazil.

Paris, Apr 22 (Prensa Latina) The UNESCO Executive Council on Wednesday approved the designation of eight new sites in its World Geoparks program, bringing the total to 169 in 44 countries.
