Summit on Green Growth and SDGs (P4G) concludes in Vietnam

Hanoi, April 17 (Prensa Latina) – The fourth edition of the Partnership for Green Growth and Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit, which took place this week, will conclude today with five ministerial sessions and a business meeting with leaders.

High-level panels will address “Revitalizing and developing the financial strategy for global green growth” and “Accompanying the Green Revolution 4.0: The path towards transforming the food system for a sustainable era.”

In addition, topics include “Innovative technology for ecological transition and sustainable development in the intelligent era”; “Investing in people: shaping the workforce for the economy of the future”; and “Innovative solutions for an effective and sustainable energy transition.”

Meanwhile, the “Business Dialogue with Leaders” will focus on Public-Private Partnerships for Innovation and Sustainability.

Faced with increasing global challenges such as climate change, natural disasters, an aging population, and resource depletion, a green transition is an inevitable trend and a strategic priority for all nations, emphasized the Vietnamese Prime Minister in his speech.

Minh Chinh stressed that, as expressed in the summit’s theme: “Sustainable green transition centred on people,” humans must be at the heart of this transformation, as the subject, objective, driving force, and key resource for the planet’s sustainable development.

He also warned about the need to ensure an inclusive and equitable approach that leaves no one behind, especially the most vulnerable groups.

For Vietnam, he said, along with digital transformation, the green transition represents a key driver for achieving the country’s strategic goals: “to become a developing nation with modern industry and improved incomes. by 2030 and a high-income developed country by 2045”.

In a message to participants at the event, To Lam, general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, expressed his country’s readiness to decisively turn political commitments into practical actions and to create a driving force for businesses and society as a whole to engage in developing a green economy.
