During the 57th session of the Higher Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action, held in Tunis, Gheit criticized the silence of the international community and called for work to strengthen the Palestinian people’s struggle for freedom and independence.
“Israel seeks to erase the Palestinian people from geography and history, a goal conceived by the fantasies and racist complexes of its leaders,” the official stated, and condemned any plan to forcibly displace the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip, a threat he considered unacceptable to Muslims around the world. “It is time to stop this massacre in order to immediately begin reconstruction and recovery efforts in that territory and pave the way for a just and acceptable solution for the Palestinians,” he stressed.
According to official data, more than 51,000 people have died in the Strip since the start of Israeli military operations in October 2023.
