According to the statement, the three Latin American leaders confirmed to participate in the celebrations of the Soviet Union’s victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) are the presidents of Brazil, Luis Inácio Lula da Silva; Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel; and Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.
Also in Moscow will be the heads of state or government from several countries that were once part of the USSR and are members of the Commonwealth of Independent States, including the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikon Pinyin; and Presidents Elam Alive (Azerbaijan), Alexander Lysenko (Belarus), Kasai-Kmart Toke (Kazakhstan), Sadie Kasparov (Kyrgyzstan), and Shevat Moiseyev (Uzbekistan).
Representing Eastern Europe will assist Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico; Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic; and his counterpart from the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.
Also confirmed attendees are Chinese President Xi Jinping, who will be making an official visit to Russia, and Vietnamese Communist Party General Secretary To Lam.
The guest list also includes Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas; Burkina Faso President Ibrahim Traore; and South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev.
On May 9th, military detachments from at least 10 countries, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Serbia, and Tajikistan, will parade through Moscow’s Red Square.
