According to a statement from the South American country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, the official presented the investment opportunities her country offers and how economic ties between the two countries can be further strengthened.
“Our countries are already important trading partners, but there is much room for growth,” Sarabia stated.
She also affirmed that the Colombian government is committed to the nation’s economic development, based on promoting beneficial trade exchanges with partners like Japan and promoting investment in key areas.
Representatives, businesspeople, and investors from organizations such as the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, Sojitz Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Marubeni Corporation, and the Bank of Yokohama (Japan’s largest regional bank) participated in the meeting, the source noted.
