The text was published by the Nhan Dan (People’s Daily) newspaper on the occasion of the brief state visit that the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and president of that country will begin this Monday.

The article underscored that China is ready to work with Vietnam based on past achievements and, looking forward to the future, draw up a plan to write a new chapter in building the strategically important shared future community.

Xi also said he looked forward to renewing friendly ties with Vietnamese leaders and discussing ways to enhance cooperation between the two “socialist and friendly neighbors, sharing the same ideals and broad strategic interests.”

He states that the deep friendship between our two parties and peoples, forged decades ago, has been strengthened as we explore a socialist path tailored to each country’s national conditions and modernization processes.

Xi’s article reiterates the importance of building a community with a shared future between Beijing and Hanoi, which “possesses strategic significance, meets the two countries’ common interests, and contributes to peace, stability, development, and prosperity of the region and the world.”
