According to the official Syrian news agency SANA, the president is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Assad Al-Sara.

Assad Al-Shaibani, Minister of Foreign Affairs is expected to hold talks with the highest authorities of this Arabian Gulf nation.

Since taking office, President Al-Shara has visited Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and Türkiye, while the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, was the first Arab leader to visit Damascus after the overthrow of Bashar Al-Assad’s government.

Al-Shara’s visit to the UAE comes two days after participating in the fourth edition of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum in Türkiye.
