The Gaza Health Ministry issued an urgent appeal to the world to increase aid to hospitals and primary care centers in the coastal enclave.

As part of its war campaign, Israel implemented a total blockade against the territory on March 2, preventing the entry of food, medicine, water, and fuel.

The health institution underscored that operating rooms, intensive care units, and emergency departments are operating without reserve.

The Ministry informed that 80,000 diabetic patients and 110,000 people with high blood pressure have no medication due to the Israeli siege.

It pointed out that the closure of the border crossings aggravated the humanitarian crisis and added catastrophic challenges to the provision of medical care to the sick and wounded.

Gaza se queda sin medicinas por bloqueo israelí

Ramala, 11 abr (Prensa Latina) El déficit de suministros farmacéuticos y médicos en la Franja de Gaza alcanzó niveles peligrosos y sin precedentes, advirtieron hoy autoridades de salud del territorio.

El Ministerio de Salud de Gaza emitió un llamamiento urgente al mundo para aumentar la ayuda a los hospitales y centros de atención primaria en el enclave costero.

Como parte de su campaña bélica, Israel implantó un bloqueo total contra el territorio el 2 de marzo último, que impide la entrada de alimentos, medicinas, agua y combustible.

Los quirófanos, las unidades de cuidados intensivos y los departamentos de emergencia operan sin reserva, subrayó.

La entidad resaltó que 80 mil pacientes diabéticos y 110 mil hipertensos no tienen medicamentos debido al cerco israelí.

El cierre de los cruces fronterizos agravó la crisis humanitaria y añade desafíos catastróficos a la prestación de atención médica a enfermos y heridos, apuntó.
