The 25 percent levies on steel, aluminum and autos remain in force, as does the universal 10 percent rate for the bulk of imports. In addition, U.S. President Donald Trump persists in his trade war with China.
Faced with this new reality, third vice-president and Minister for Ecological Transition, Sara Aagesen, stressed that talks between the European Union (EU) and the US are imposed.
“It is a time for negotiation, for dialogue, and that is positive. Europe and Spain are always committed to the path of agreement and dialogue (…), let’s make the most of the time”, declared Aagesen in the corridors of the Congress of Deputies.
