As reported by the National Land Agency, the figure is equivalent to more than triple those ceded during the administration of Iván Duque (2018-2022), which were 19 thousand 210, and also exceed the seven thousand 83 hectares received by the government of Juan Manuel Santos (2010-2018).
The director of the entity, Felipe Harman, considered that the country turned the delivery and legalization of land into an instrument of peace, reparation, dignity and social justice for people recognized as victims by the State.
“In Colombia, peace is made with land, it is made with the Agrarian Reform to promote reconciliation and coexistence,” he stated.
On the other hand, he revealed that through an agreement, the Government allocated 174 billion pesos (more than 40 million dollars at the current exchange rate) to purchase land for the Victims Reparation Fund, which guarantees the resources so that direct reparation can be provided to people affected by the conflict.
