The military institution announced on its official Telegram channel that in this new massive attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 67 drones were shot down in the Krasnodar region alone.
The release added that 29 UAVs were also shot down over the Rostov region, 15 over the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, 11 over the Voronezh region, 10 over the Kursk region, five drones in the Belgorod region, and three over the Republic of Crimea.
Two Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed over the Penza region, one in Saratov, one in Oriol, and one over the Stavropol region, while seven drones were shot down over the Sea of Azov, and six over the Black Sea.
The national aviation agency, Rosaviatsia, reported that for security reasons, the country introduced flight restrictions at the airports of Saratov, Ulyanov, and Grozny.
The Russian provinces bordering Ukraine, such as Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, and the Republic of Crimea, regularly report shelling, drone strikes, and other attacks from across the border, forcing the population to seek shelter elsewhere.
