The research indicates that 42% of those interviewed maintain that Bolsonaro should not go to prison and seven did not know how to answer.

When asked if the former governor (2019-2022) would, in fact, be imprisoned, 52% think no, 41 think yes and seven also did not express themselves.

When comparing regions, the north/central-west presents a technical tie, where 47% believe that the ex-military should be imprisoned, against 45 who say the opposite.

In the southern region, 49% believe that the far-right politician should remain free, compared to 46% who want him to be locked up.

Religion also seems to influence the response. Among Catholics interviewed, 55% support Bolsonaro’s arrest, versus 39 who oppose it.

Among evangelicals, 54% are against the arrest, compared to 38 in favor.

Brasilia, 8 abr (Prensa Latina) El exmandatario Jair Bolsonaro debería ser arrestado por el supuesto intento de golpe de Estado en 2022, asegura el 52 por ciento de los brasileños, según una encuesta del instituto Datafolha publicada hoy. La investigación indica que un 42 por ciento de los entrevistados sostiene que Bolsonaro no debe ir a prisión y un siete no supo responder.

Cuando se preguntó si el exgobernante (2019-2022), de hecho, sería encarcelado, el 52 por ciento cree que no, un 41 piensa que sí y un siete tampoco se manifestó.

Al comparar regiones, el norte/centro-oeste presenta un empate técnico, donde un 47 por ciento estima que el exmilitar debería ser recluido, contra un 45 que dice lo contrario.

En la región sur, un 49 por ciento considera que el político ultraderechista debería permanecer libre, frente al 46 que quiere su encierro.

La religión parece además influir en la respuesta. Entre los católicos entrevistados, el 55 por ciento apoya el arresto de Bolsonaro, frente al 39 que se opone.

Entre los evangélicos, el 54 por ciento resulta contrario a la detención, frente al 38 favorable.
