The Criteria poll, conducted between March 31 and April 2, indicates that the former mayor of Providencia is in first place with 31 percent of the vote, her best result since March 2024.
She is followed by José Antonio Kast, the candidate for the extremist Republican Party, who rose from 11 to 15 percentage points.
Tied for third place are former Interior Minister Carolina Toha, of the Party for Democracy, and libertarian Johannes Kaiser, both with nine.
According to Criteria, Toha rose one point compared to the previous poll, while Kaiser fell from 13 to nine.
Although she is not a candidate for the La Moneda Palace, six out of every 100 respondents continued to mention Michelle Bachelet as their favorite.
Jeannette Jara, who was nominated the day before as its candidate by the Chilean Communist Party, appears to have two points in her favor, as does Marco Enríquez-Ominami.
In a possible runoff, Matthei would win in all possible scenarios, according to data provided by Criteria.
The survey also measured President Gabriel Boric’s job approval rating, which remains stable at 29 percent, although disapproval increased by one point to 60.
