In a press release, the government agency said it is working with all stakeholders, including Indian industry and exporters, to receive their comments on the tariffs and assess the situation.
It stressed that the analysis will also be based on the government’s goal of making the country a developed nation by 2047.
Similarly, it stressed that the opportunities that may arise due to this new development in US trade policy are being studied.
In the note, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce recalled that last February during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, Mission 500 was agreed upon, which aims to double bilateral trade to US$ 500 billion by 2030.
