Reshetnikov made these statements after meeting with Serbian acting Minister Nenad Popovic,to discuss the issue, and recalled that following the two presidents’ agreement, an extremely favorable gas supply contract was signed three years ago.
Popovic, in turn, stated that thanks to this accord, gas prices for Serbian citizens and the economy are the lowest in Europe.
Serbia and Russia are working to sign a new contract on favorable terms starting in May this year, said Popovic, who stressed that cooperation with Moscow is a strategic partnership, especially in the energy sector.
