“The highest March in history for employment: 22,465,110 jobs affiliated with the IMSS (Mexican Social Security Institute),” said the president during her regular press conference at the National Palace.
According to her details, 226,731 formal jobs were created from January 1 to March 31, 2025.
The president also reported that in the first quarter of the year, federal government revenues were almost 19 percent higher in real terms (that is, after adjusting for inflation) compared to the same period in 2024.
“First, I would like to thank all taxpayers, because their taxes are being paid. There are some who still resist complying with the law, but people have confidence in the government and are paying their taxes,” she commented.
In the dignitary’s opinion, these data “show how the Mexican economy is doing very well, how the model of moral economy, of Mexican humanism, of the principle of ‘For the good of all, the poor first,’ is producing results.”
