The leader of the health union, Luis Alpirez, ruled out the possibility of attending meetings, “we want concrete things and that they understand that it is with the majority (union) that consensus is made”, he stressed, quoted by the local newspaper Prensa Libre.
The general secretary of the National Union of the San Juan de Dios hospital in the capital, Carlos Noé Santos, referred to a meeting with representatives of the Private Secretariat of the Presidency to find solutions.
However, he said, after several meetings the dialogue was suspended and they were informed that the issue would be addressed by the Ministry of Health and Social Assistance (Mspas), without any proposal being presented.
“We regret the attitude of the Government, which is causing workers and authorities to confront each other. They could have solved this through dialogue, but they did not do so, and are only using delaying practices”, Santos pointed out.
In response to the calls for mobilizations for several days, the Mpsas responded the day before that the National Budget Law of 2025 is in force, which empowers it to make readjustments to its allocations in this sense, among others. jrr/jav/ro/znc
