China Academy of Engineering (CAE) expert Zhang Ping explained that the core of 6G’s breakthrough lies in the fusion of intelligent communication with AI.
Ping explained during the forum that unlike 5G networks, which are mainly focused on data transmission, the next generation will enable two-way interaction between communication and AI, expanding its applications beyond traditional connectivity.
Huang Yuhong, manager of China Mobile Research Institute, noted that AI evolution depends on advanced networks that facilitate collaboration between smart devices, models, and systems.
Huang affirmed, “The integrated use of 6G not only marks a technological leap but also becomes the key infrastructure to drive the digital transformation of multiple sectors.”
The 2025 ZGC Forum opened on March 27 under the theme “New Quality Productivity and Global Science and Technology Cooperation,” and featured participants from more than 100 countries and regions.
