The Indian Foreign Ministry informed that a large delegation of ministers, parliamentarians, senior officials, directors of business associations, media, and prominent Chilean cultural figures accompany Boric during his stay in India until April 5.
In addition to talks with Modi and President Droupadi Murmu, the Chilean president expects to visit Agra, Mumbai, and Bangalore to meet with political leaders, business and industry representatives, startups, innovators, and technology leaders.
For New Delhi, Boric’s visit is an opportunity to negotiate a comprehensive review of bilateral relations and discuss regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Diplomatic sources stated that India considers Chile a significant partner in the Latin American region.
The Foreign Ministry noted that both countries share views on international issues, such as United Nations Security Council (UNSC) reforms, climate change, renewable energy, and terrorism.
