Moscow, Mar 30 (Prensa Latina) An Il-76 aircraft with an airmobile hospital arrived today in Myanmar to provide assistance to those injured in the earthquake that devastated that Asian country, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

The agency also added that an additional 50 rescuers and doctors were on board the aircraft, and that the specialized hospital is equipped with intensive care and therapeutic units and bandaging equipment.

This is the third aircraft sent by Moscow to Myanmar. Earlier two planes with 120 rescuers and doctors arrived in Naypyidaw, its capital.

In addition to specialists, the Russian Federation sent canine units, anesthesiologists and psychologists who have the necessary equipment and tools to carry out search operations.

In their operations, the rescue teams will also use drones that allow them to carry out reconnaissance and surveillance work from the air.

On Friday, March 28, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake shook Myanmar, causing more than 1,600 deaths and injuring more than 3,400 people.

The quake was also felt in five neighboring countries, including Thailand, which registered 10 fatalities, 16 injured and a hundred missing.
