The deputy prime minister thus responded to a Facebook post by opposition MP Krit Silapachai, who included a screenshot of an alleged conversation where he was offered such a sum in exchange for his vote.
The no-confidence motion, which took place over two days ago, concluded with 319 votes in favor of the Prime Minister, 162 against and seven abstentions, out of a total of 488 parliamentarians.
In addition to ruling coalition MPs, seven opposition members voted in favor of Shinawatra, including representatives of the Palang Pracharath Party and the Thai Progressive Party Jantararuangtong suggested that some opposition MPs may have been persuaded by the prime minister’s defense of the accusations, and dismissed speculation of seeking a coalition approach to join her.
