Malaysia faces obstacles to develop charity events

Kuala Lumpur, Mar 28 (Prensa Latina) Malaysia's Warisan party today reaffirmed its commitment to help the people despite increasing difficulties in obtaining spaces to hold its charity programs.

A scheduled fast-breaking event with Kampung Petagas residents at the Al-Jannah Mosque in Putatan was abruptly relocated due to ‘unavoidable circumstances,’ according to the party.

Warisan chairman Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal revealed they have faced repeated problems in finding venues, including mosques and community halls, for their relief efforts.

Although he did not directly accuse any party of political interference, Apdal emphasized Warisan’s determination to continue serving the public.

“As chief minister, I made sure that no one blocked the charitable efforts,” he added.

Despite the obstacles, Warisan proceeded with a fast-breaking event at the Al-Amin Mosque in Kampung Serigai, distributing rice and essential items to more than 200 residents.
