The top diplomat confirmed that the military defense ties between the two countries play a leading role in strengthening the Asian nation’s defense capabilities.

This cooperation has great opportunities, despite the existing challenges, Rudenko said at the ‘Russia and India’ international conference, organized by the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation.

In this context, the diplomat stressed that New Delhi remains a strategic partner of Moscow in the military sphere.

“Joint, multilateral and bilateral exercises are regularly held in the Indian Ocean and beyond,” he concluded.
