Vietnam holds preparatory meeting for Party congress

Hanoi, Mar 25 (Prensa Latina) The Personnel Subcommittee of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (PCV) held its fourth meeting to review the draft guidelines on personnel work of the great event.

VCP General Secretary To Lam stressed that the 14th National Party Congress is of momentous significance and marks the beginning of a new era, that of rising for the nation’s prosperous and strong development.

The party leader stressed that the congress is the time to carry out in a decisive, comprehensive and coordinated manner the reorganization and simplification of the structure of the state apparatus, from the central level to the grassroots, in order to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and results of the political system.

At the same time, it raises the need to further strengthen the Party’s leadership, creating a change and breakthrough to boost the rapid and sustainable development of the country, reaching the level of developed countries in the region and the world, he emphasized.

To Lam noted that this context poses a very high demand on the preparation and improvement of the quality of the documents of the 14th National Party Congress, including the guidelines on personnel work.

The leader called on the standing body of the Subcommittee on Personnel to continue reviewing and improving the contents related to the draft reports of the Subcommittee on Personnel, including the guidelines on personnel work.

The leader asked the permanent body of the Personnel Subcommittee to continue reviewing and perfecting the contents related to the draft reports of the Subcommittee and the guidelines on personnel work, to be submitted to the Political Bureau for its consideration, before being submitted to the XI Plenary Session of the Central Committee for review according to regulations.
