Sudan army accused of striking a Darfur market

Khartoum, Mar 25 (Prensa Latina) Sudanese civilian organizations on Tuesday accused the Army of killing and injuring hundreds of people, still uncounted, in an airstrike on a market in the country's western Darfur region.

Emergency Lawyers, which report the war crimes in Sudan, informed that the army planes conducted an airstrike on the Tora market in Darfur on Monday, whose victims, estimated in dozens, have not yet been verified due to a telecommunications disruption in the region.

Darfur has mainly been under the control of the so-called Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and where violent clashes have been taking place during the conflict.

A new attack on a mosque in the East Nile region by Sudanese paramilitary forces left at least 11 dead and dozens wounded, local media reported.

Since mid-April 2023, Sudan has been embroiled in an internal war, following a power struggle between Army Chief, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and RSF leader, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.
