Foreign Minister Lavrov to discuss Russia-US negotiations in Riyadh

Moscow, Mar 25 (Prensa Latina) Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will discuss certain aspects of the consultations between Russia and the United States in an interview on Channel 1 of Russian national television.

According to the diplomat’s Telegram channel on Tuesday, Lavrov will explain several aspects of the contacts held between the delegations of the Russian Federation and the United States on Monday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

At the consultations, which lasted more than 12 hours, Russia was represented by Grigory Karasin, head of the International Committee of the Federation Council (Senate), and Sergey Beseda, advisor to the director of the Federal Security Service (FSB).

Russian presidential advisor Yuri Ushakov previously stated that one of the central topics of the negotiations would be the cessation of hostilities in the Black Sea and the restoration of the 2022 agreement, which allowed the transport of Ukrainian and Russian grain through that waterway.
