Attack with explosives left four soldiers wounded in Cauca, Colombia

Bogota, Mar 25 (Prensa Latina) The activation of an explosive charge in the municipality of Rojas, Cauca, caused injuries to four soldiers while they were moving in that area of the southwest, as confirmed by the National Army of Colombia.

According to the source, the detonation occurred when troops of the Brigade Against Drug Trafficking number 3, attached to the Third Division, were moving along the Pan-American Highway in the aforementioned locality.

The statement added that the wounded were treated by combat nurses and were transferred to nearby hospitals.

Also in the department of Cauca, in the municipality of Balboa, the explosion of an explosive device caused the death of two non-commissioned officers and three soldiers of the Third Division of the National Army two weeks ago.

At that time, the military entity informed that the death of the soldiers occurred due to the detonation of a device that was buried in one of the slopes of the road, presumably by members of the armed group Carlos Patiño, belonging to the self-styled Estado Mayor Central (Central General Staff).
