According to Leschenko’s statement to the Rada television channel on Monday, kyiv and Washington will resume talks after the talks between the Russian and US delegations conclude.
Currently, the Ukrainian delegation remains in Saudi Arabia and will not return to conduct consultations after the conclusion of these Russian-US negotiations. That is, the negotiations will continue for a specified period of time, Leschenko said.
The talks between Russia and the United States are still ongoing, and the parties do not plan to end the consultations in the short term.
On March 23, the US and Ukrainian delegations held talks in Riyadh. The Ukrainian delegation included Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Zelensky’s deputy chief of staff, Pavel Palisa, as well as representatives of the Armed Forces and energy specialists.
The main topic of discussion was the cessation of attacks on energy infrastructure facilities. At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the parties did not provide details of the talks.
