“The report is not true at all,” Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun told at a press briefing.
The diplomat added that Beijing’s stance on the Ukraine crisis is “consistent and clear”, and it is in line with what China has advocated during these three years.
China hopes that the parties to the conflict will reach a fair, lasting, and binding peace agreement accepted by all relevant actors.
Beijing’s position is based on the “four shoulds” put forward by President Xi Jinping.
It states that all parties should respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, comply with the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter, address each nation’s legitimate security concerns, and support efforts that contribute to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
Li Ming, spokesperson for China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), noted that the nation “will continue to be a positive force for world peace and stability, and an advocate for global progress and justice.”
