During his meeting with Mariam Sherman, the Director of the World Bank in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos, Minh Hoan also highlighted the achievements of mutual assistance.

He appreciated the role of the World Bank in strengthening collaboration for development, eradicating hunger and poverty, and addressing common global challenges.

Minh Hoan reiterated his hope that the World Bank will continue to effectively support developing countries in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Deputy Speaker affirmed that Vietnam is currently promoting the streamlining of the state apparatus and institutional reform, while developing science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation to create momentum for national development in the new era.

For her part, Mariam Sherman expressed her hope that cooperation with Vietnam will be effective and meet the agreed objectives.

The executive affirmed that the World Bank will continue to implement the collaborative agendas and programs agreed upon with the Southeast Asian nation.
