Beglov expressed St. Petersburg’s interest in offering technical-professional scholarships and summer camp opportunities to young Cubans.
They also discussed the successful virtual branch of the Russian Museum at Havana’s Museum of Fine Arts and plans for a physical exhibition.
Garmendía noted Beglov’s interest in Cuba-Russia energy cooperation, particularly regarding Cuba’s current situation.
This meeting follows Beglov’s November visit to Cuba, where he met with President Miguel Díaz-Canel, reaffirming the strong political and diplomatic ties between the two countries and St. Petersburg’s commitment to strengthening regional economic, trade, and cooperative bonds.
