The military institution reported that out of 132 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) eliminated, 54 were shot down in Saratov Oblast, 40 in Voronezh Oblast, 22 in Belgorod Oblast, nine in Rostov Oblast, three in Kursk Oblast, the same number in Crimea, and one in Lipetsk Oblast.
The Federal Air Transport Agency, also known as Rosaviatsiya, reported this Thursday temporary flight restrictions at the airports of Saratov and Samara, cities located in the Volga River area.
Meanwhile, Roman Busarguin, Governor of Saratov Oblast, posted on his Telegram channel that the drone attack destroyed windows in two kindergartens, a school, and a hospital in Engels, a satellite city of Saratov that is located on the Volga River’s eastern side, which hosts a strategic bomber base.
The Russian provinces bordering Ukraine, such as Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, and the Republic of Crimea, regularly report shelling, drone strikes, and other attacks from across the border.
