In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned an attack by the Israeli army yesterday against the UN headquarters in the city of Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of one employee and the injury of five others.
“Such actions against international institutions operating in the coastal enclave constitute state terrorism and confirm the systematic and widespread crimes committed by that government,” the Ministry emphasized. “The genocide committed against our people extends to supporters and employees of global organizations and the United Nations, which constitutes a flagrant and serious violation of international law,” it stressed.
For this reason, the Foreign Ministry urged “redoubling efforts to pressure the occupying state to cease its aggression, genocide, and displacements against our people.” It also called for international protection in the face of Israel’s continued military attacks against Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
