Referring to the ReArm Europe plan, developed by the European Commission (EC), Orban pointed out that the question is where the money will come from.
We believe that everyone should invest the necessary funds from their treasury. Let us not generate the necessary resources through joint loans from the European Union (EU). We do not want to go into debt to anyone, the head of Government stated, according to MTI agency.
He noted that if someone wants to help, let him invest in the common fund for European security.
The Hungarian Parliament adopted a resolution on March 18 against the country’s participation in joint EU loans under the ReArm Europe plan, including arms production for Ukraine.
Approved by 138 votes for, 29 against, and one abstention, the document calls on Orban to take that position at the EU summit in Brussels this Thursday and Friday.
