Regarding the meeting, which took place in the context of his official visit to the African nation, the foreign minister wrote on his X account that during the meeting, he highlighted Cuiba’s commitment to increasing interparliamentary relations as a way to strengthen ties between the two countries.

Last week, upon receiving the credentials of Cuban Ambassador Julio Enrique Pujol, the president acknowledged the work of Cuban healthcare brigades, who work tirelessly in the most remote areas of the country for the benefit of the population and are noted for their ethics.
The foreign minister arrived on Tuesday and, during a meeting with representatives of solidarity movements with Cuba and the Association of Graduates in Cuba (Esbecan), as well as Cubans residents here, expressed his gratitude for Ghana’s support for the Caribbean nation and its unwavering solidarity with its people.
Rodríguez paid tribute to Kwame Nkrumah (1909-1972), considered the Founding Father of the Nation, laying a wreath at his mausoleum and then signing the Golden Book of Visitors.
Nkrumah was the country’s first president and the first African leader to meet with the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro. The head of Cuban diplomacy is accompanied by Luis Alberto Amorós, director of Sub-Saharan Africa at the Cuban Foreign Ministry, and the Cuban ambassador to Ghana, among other diplomats.
During his stay, he is expected to meet with members of the Cuban medical brigade in the country and embassy staff, as well as with his counterpart, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
