President Díaz-Canel closed this Thursday the 6th General Assembly of the National Association of the Deaf of Cuba (ANSOC), which had been in session since Wednesday in this capital with the participation of delegates from all the country’s provinces.
Díaz-Canel reaffirmed that the Revolution will not renounce its social work, nor will it stop working to ensure that ANSOC members remain happy as part of Cuban society despite the complex times the nation is experiencing.
The head of state also thanked this institution for its commitment to defending the revolutionary process, even amidst difficulties.
At the meeting, several ministries, institutions, agencies, and territories were recognized for their outstanding work supporting the deaf community on the Caribbean island.
According to the digital portal, the importance of the legalization of Cuban Sign Language worldwide and other advances in serving this population group were highlighted.
