The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) had already presented a schedule, a budget and a draft decree for the consultation, which was to be held next May.
In the complex scenario that Haiti is going through, the CEP never published the relevant documents, a fact that caused a delay in the organizational process, the digital newspaper Haiti Libre pointed out.
The worst thing is that the CEP is not in a position to set another date, and if so, this could affect the general elections scheduled for November this year, and the political life of Haiti would be altered.
