As every Wednesday, the participants in the demonstration will denounce President Javier Milei’s veto of pension reform, the emptying of the Comprehensive Healthcare Program, and the impossibility for many retirees to reach the end of the month due to insufficient pensions.
This time, the Central Workers of Argentina (CTA) and the Autonomous CTA (CTA-A) urged to wear the blue and white jersey, representative of the local soccer team, but also this nation.
Members of the Left Front, the Workers’ Pole, the Front of Organizations in Struggle, the Evita Movement, the Barrios de Pie group, the Union of Workers of the Popular Economy (UTEP), the Communist Party, the Trade Union Front of the National Universities, and other organizations and sectors will attend the rally.
They will condemn the strong repression unleashed by the Gendarmerie, the Argentine Naval Prefecture, the Federal Police, and the Airport Security Police against those who protested last week.
These forces deployed a strong operation on March 12 with hydrant trucks, motorized troops, rubber bullets, batons, and tear gas, injuring dozens of citizens, among them an 87-year-old woman and photographer Pablo Grillo, who remains in critical condition.
