Abinader inaugurated the facility, accompanied by the president of the Presidential Commission for the Support of Provincial Development, Ángel de la Cruz, who emphasized the importance of the work in order to give a quick response to the community and provide greater protection.
The first floor of the detachment has two jails (for men and women), the Criminal Investigations Department, a waiting room and an office for the reception of complaints.
On the second floor there is the Deputy Commander’s Department, an assistant’s office and a meeting room, among other areas.
The day before, the dignitary also inaugurated the extension of the Maimon aqueduct and spoke about the construction of several pending works, among them the La Leonora bridge, whose design is finished, a municipal hospital and the Center for Integral Attention of Early Childhood.
The executive director of the National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewerage (Inapa), Wellington Arnaud, emphasized that the Maimón aqueduct will bring drinking water to more than 50,000 inhabitants.
