During the Security Belt 2025 Maneuvers, the crews of the three countries practiced skills in searching for and releasing a ship hijacked by potential terrorists in the Gulf of Oman, where the exercises were held, following the preparation of sailors in the Iranian port of Chabahar, as reportedly stated.
Russia was represented in the drills by the Pacific Fleet’s corvettes Rezki and Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov, along with the sea tanker Pechenga, the military institution indicated.
During the key episodes of the exercises, joint forces searched for a vessel hijacked by simulated terrorists and also carried out a joint operation of special units to liberate it.
For two days, the crews of the warships conducted both daytime and nighttime live-fire exercises using heavy machine guns and small arms to engage targets simulating unmanned boats and aerial drones belonging to a mock adversary
