The Commission for Prisoners’ Affairs and the Prisoners’ Club, in a joint statement, revealed testimonies of numerous citizens after their freedom.

In the Negev prison, the detainees are locked in cells without toilets, forcing them to use a urinal, they said.

I still suffer from scabies and boils on my body, during my confinement I was brutally beaten during my frequent transfers, narrated J.W., who used only his initials for fear of reprisals.

“Detainees suffer from starvation and receive only a small amount of food (…) They are also subjected to procedures that include repeated searches and constant insults,” he stressed.

In his testimony, detainee S.A. confirmed that conditions there are difficult due to the spread of skin diseases.

“There is a state of fear and terror among the detainees. Conditions are hellish, insults are constant, and the policy of humiliation, hunger and deprivation dominate the lives of the inmates,” he noted.
