Authorities expect to have the facility completed by August 2025, and that the equipment will be of the latest generation.
St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Terrance Drew expressed his satisfaction, saying that the MRI services will empower the healthcare sector and create new opportunities for local professionals.
The MRI machine, according to the Associates Times website, will use images to diagnose diseases, and will play a vital role in the early detection and treatment of chronic conditions.
Drew emphasized that there is a need to improve healthcare services, from patient care to nursing, with a greater supply of prescribed drugs and more advanced equipment.
