“El enigma de la Coubre”at the traditional Cuba’s Book Saturday

Havana, Mar 1 (Prensa Latina) “El enigma de la Coubre”, by Colombian researcher and journalist Hernando Calvo Ospina, is the title of the book that will be presented at the traditional Book Saturday event in Havana.

Organized by the Cuban Book Institute, the event will take place at 11:00 a.m. local time on Madera Street, next to the Plaza de Armas in Old Havana, according to Cubaliteraria website.

The explosion of the French ship La Coubre in the port of Havana, on March 4 in this capital city, has transcended as the biggest terrorist attack committed in the Caribbean island, which is still unpunished.

With a toll of nearly 100 dead and 200 wounded, the action has remained shrouded in mystery for decades, with the US government’s Central Intelligence Agency as the main suspect.

Washington has refused to declassify the files linked to the events, but the opening of documents in France allowed investigators like Ospina to delve deeper into the covert actions against Cuba.
