According to the senior official, the goals for each year are as follows: 100,275 houses by 2025, 116,347 by 2026, 148,343 by 2027, 172,402 by 2028, 186,917 by 2029 and 271,161 by 2030.
Minh Chinh asked ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, leaders of People’s Committees of provinces and cities under central administration and heads of relevant agencies and units to be responsible for implementing this decision.
The project ‘Investing in the construction of at least one million social housing units for low-income people and industrial park workers in the 2021-2030 period’ was approved by the Prime Minister by virtue of Decision 338/QD-TTg.
The aim of the initiative is to build affordable social housing for low- and middle-income families in urban areas, as well as for workers and laborers in industrial parks and export processing zones.
The State has encouraged all economic sectors to develop housing to guarantee homes for all people through market mechanisms, while adopting housing support measures for social policy beneficiaries, low-income people and those facing housing difficulties.
The measure aims to contribute to political stability, ensure social security and develop civilized and modern urban and rural areas.
The ultimate goal of the project is to build a total of on4 million 62 thousand apartments in all localities by 2030.
