The Russian space agency’s release stated that the spacecraft, which carries several cargoes, including a new spacesuit and equipment for scientific experiments to the International Space Station (ISS), blasted off at 00:24 hours (Moscow time) from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
The Progress MS-30 spacecraft expects to reach the ISS in about two days. Its docking with the Zvezda module is scheduled for 02:04 hours (Moscow time) on Sunday.
The space freighter carries 2,599 kilograms of cargo, including 1,179 kilograms of equipment and machinery, clothing, food, medical and hygienic supplies.
Also included are 950 kilograms of refueling propellant, 420 liters of drinking water, and 50 kilograms of nitrogen to replenish the ISS atmosphere.
