The group of participants from the Caribbean nation is made up of representatives of the Cuban Government, academia and institutions involved in the process of developing e-government and the digitalization of society in Cuba, according to a press release from the island’s embassy.
At its inauguration, the second head of Mission, Abel Aballe, pointed out the contribution of this course for the development of Cuba and to overcome the obstacles imposed by the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States in the area of information technology and the development of information sciences.
According to the diplomatic source, Aballe stressed that Washington’s illegal policy hinders the capacity of Cuban technicians to receive training in this type of emerging technologies.
The Cuban diplomat also highlighted the holding of the first edition of this bilateral course, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and India.
