The measure of force was decided in a federal plenary of delegates held to define a plan of struggle against the policies of Javier Milei’s government.
The union informed that a protest will take place at the National Institute of Agricultural Technology, the Ministry of Deregulation and Transformation of the State, the Ministry of Health and the Plaza de Mayo.
“We have to continue confronting these policies at all levels as the only possibility to stop an adjustment that cracks the whole social and productive fabric. If the conflict increases, we will have a chance to recover the salaries and pensions that were taken away from us”, asserted the General Secretary of ATE, Rodolfo Aguiar, who pointed out that the surprise demonstrations are aimed at avoiding the growing repression unleashed against those who demand respect for their rights.
“In only one year they have destroyed all the income in the public sector. They have to reopen the paritarias (negotiations) and initiate an immediate process of salary recovery,” Aguiar indicated. “We cannot allow them to try to compensate the fiscal cost of tax favors to the countryside and millionaires with a new cut on the State. We reject any possibility of closing and merging agencies,” he added.
Aguiar also demanded the immediate reinstatement of all those dismissed without just cause and the automatic renewal of all labor ties that expire at the end of February and March.
ATE members also demand the extension of a pension moratorium, the restitution of the Sustainability Guarantee Fund and the repeal of a decree that transforms Yacimientos Carboníferos Río Turbio into a corporation.
